Course Information

Reskilling in HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is required to be undertaken annually, with the first aid qualification (HLTAID003 Provide First Aid) renewed every three years, ref; NT WorkSafe - First Aid Code of Practice for First aiders.

Our courses provide participants with the knowledge and skills to confidently recognise and respond to an emergency situation requiring Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).  The course meets compliance with the Education and Childcare Services National Regulations and is suitable for the general public, students and corporate clients, delivered in town or at remote locations, and can also be tailored to suit your specific requirements.

Recognition Prior Learning (RPL), Credit Transfer (CT) and National Recognition

The course will be pre-empted by any learning achieved through formal education and training (credit transfer) and learning achieved outside the formal education and training system (RPL), or recognition of AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by training organisations registered in any Australian jurisdiction as described in the Student Handbook.

CPRTraining and assessment arrangements:

This accredited course is delivered in one session of two (2) hours, at a time to suit the Facility or the majority of the participants.

Practical learning is delivered face to face, either on site or at our training room, with competencies determined progressively throughout the course by the observation of learners participating in course activities.

Our First Aid educator observes the participants application of skills and knowledge throughout the face to face practical session, during simulated emergency scenarios, contextualised to the candidate's workplace/community settings, and other skill stations.  CPR assessment requires candidates to perform at least two (2) minutes of single rescuer uninterrupted CPR on an adult resuscitation manikin placed on the floor and an infant resuscitation manikin placed on a firm surface.

While applicants must possess functional written and spoken English skills, we make adjustment for learners requesting support in undertaking the theory assessment during the practical session.

Courses may be clustered within our full First Aid course or delivered separately, during normal hours or after hours to meet the needs of individual learners, group bookings or corporate customers.

Students under 14 years of age must provide written permission to attend the course from their parent or guardian.

Educators and learning support:

The course is delivered by local, qualified industry professionals, who recognise the needs of the individuals and embrace the principles of cultural safety in their teaching.
